Building the MS&T Workforce of the Future

DoD STARBASE Central Florida would not be possible without the support of our friends!

Together, we are introducing students and their teachers to the technological environments and positive role models found within today’s military, academia, industry, and government MS&T workforce.

DoD STARBASE is a premier educational program, sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.

At DoD STARBASE students participate in challenging
“hands-on, minds-on” activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

They interact with military personnel to explore careers and observe STEM applications in the “real world.” The program provides students with 25 hours of stimulating experiences at National Guard, Marine, Air Force Reserve, Army, and Air Force bases across the nation.

National Center for Simulation (NCS) is a not-for-profit trade association with government, academic and industry members operating as an open consortium.

The vision of NCS is to be the internationally recognized leader in promoting, protecting and growing the modeling, simulation and training (MS&T) community.

NAWCTSD is the Navy’s principal source of a wide spectrum of training solutions for the Warfighter.

We have an exceptionally skilled military and civilian acquisition, research and development workforce, which along with our advanced laboratories comprise a center of excellence that produces leading-edge advances in training systems and human performance.

Our site in Central Florida gives us the advantage of
co-location with other military acquisition, research and development organizations, the University of Central Florida, and close proximity to the center of the simulation-based entertainment industry.
